Mothra Attacks!

As I was getting ready for bed last night, I let Pullo out like always to go potty. I went to let him in, and a big HUGE luna moth comes rushing in. Right away, my cat Daisy pounces on it and starts tearing up its wings. It flails about and manages to land on top of the folding doors to my laundry room. By this time I am thoroughly freaked out. I grab a stool and try to get a better look at it, and this is when I notice just how BIG and hairy it is. I have no problem with your normal everyday moth, I can catch those and get them out of my house. This thing was bigger than my palm. So here I am running through my house screaming every time it comes near me. I called a friend who live about 15 minutes away to see if they would come save me since the hubby was at work, and all they could do was laugh hysterically at me.

After another 20 minutes of him trying to fly through my house and my cats chasing after him, he finally got tired and laid down on the laundry room floor. I ran over to the kitchen and grabbed a lid to a pot and put it over the moth. I left him there until the hubby got home and was able to take him outside. Surprisingly, he was still alive.
This is not the moth that was in my house, but if you click on the photo you can see just how hairy this thing is!

The luna moth is pretty from a distance, but not when it is tyring to break into your house and rape you in the middle of the night.

I am 99.9% sure that he is a direct descendant of Mothra. (And this is pretty close to what it felt like last night when he ran into the house to attack me.)

I was jumpy all night after that. Every light touch I felt, I thought it was Mothra coming to get me.

Dear So and So... I'm Not A Fan

Dear So and So...

Dear Boss Man,

If I hear Poker Face by Lady Gaga one more time, I am going to punch someone in the face.

Respectfully, Mitzy

****************

Dear Bowling Alley,

I just want to say thank you for always having plenty of clean new socks. I seem to have a memory problem and I can never remember to bring socks from home. I think I have 4 pairs of socks from you now, and I am sure I will be acquiring more since I can't remember shit. I can remember to bring my ball and my shoes, but my socks never seem to make it.

Extremely Grateful, Mitzy

****************

Dear Little Sister,

Please leave your deadbeat boyfriend. He is now in jail for the second time since you have been with him. When you met him, he was just released from prison. He is on probation in not 1 but 2 counties. His father just got put in jail, again. His cousin just got shot by some random girl at a party and died. You are the only individual amongst the 8 people living in his aunt's trailer that actually has a job and your income is supporting all of these dead beats. You are better than this.

Love you, Sis

****************

Dear Kathy Griffin,

You are one of the best comediennes ever. When I am down or super stressed out, you never cease to fail at making me laugh hysterically while watching your show on Bravo. Keep on with the dick jokes!

A Straight Fan, Mitzy

P.S. Please come to Atlanta or Savannah soon!

****************

Dear Stomach,

I know you are hungry, but do you really have to be so loud? I promise, we will be leaving soon to grab some food.

Settle Down, Mitzy

A Sad Day

Last Thursday on my way home from my bowling league around 10:30 at night, I was driving down a back road and happened across a stray German Shepherd. He was pretty emaciated and had some bad mange. I ended up taking him home for the night and in the morning I planned on dropping him off at the humane society (that wouldn't kill him). As it turns out, the humane society doesn't take in stray animals, they only take owner surrendered pets. So luckily, my friend Bobby knows a girl who rescues dogs and also works at an animal hospital. I got word that she was willing to take him in, and I drove right over to drop him off. He stayed the weekend there, but after the vet ran some tests and x-rays it was determined that he was in really bad shape.

He was only about 2 years old, and had really bad hips. So bad that he would require a surgery that costs around $9,000 - $10,000. Not to mention that his ACL is torn, and the really bad mange that would require some intense medication. All of this coupled with the fact that he is only two makes it that much worse. Since he is so young, the pain he is in will only get worse as he gets older even with the surgery. In the end, the most humane thing to do is to put him to sleep.

For the condition he was in, he was still super sweet. He wasn't skittish at all, and well behaved. He didn't really like to be touched other than on his head because the mange was so bad which made it uncomfortable for him, but he loved the attention. He would've made the best pet.

So here is a shout out to the giant shepherd with a big heart.

You will be in good company with Larkin's mom, Vader, Syber Kitty, Dr. Binks, Mattaoe, Bayah and MJ.

Dear So and So... Part Deux

Dear So and So...

Dear Biological Father,
I appreciate all of your calls and emails from afar. However, seeing as how I haven't answered or responded in well over 6 months, I would think that you would have gotten the point by now. But worry not, we will be seeing each other soon. A lot sooner than you realize, and in a not so cozy setting.
(Insert Evil Laughter Here), Your Biological Daughter
************
Dear Pullo,
The big large bed that you like to sleep in belongs to me. This is my domain. I will share my bed with you so that I may cuddle up next to you anytime. Keep this in mind the next time you growl at me because I accidentally touched you or woke you up because your ass is getting kicked off the bed.
Grrrrrrrrrrr, Mommy
************
Dear Mother Nature,
I just wanted to say thank you for making this summer somewhat tolerable. The heat has been bearable for the most part and I think we have even had a few days where the humidity was actually less the 80%! Now, if you would just do something about these mosquitoes and sand gnats, I would be eternally grateful.

Sincerely, Mitzy
************
Dear Miley,
I know this may sound a bit selfish, but I would love it if you could hurry up filming your movie and leave now. I'd like to be able to go out to Tybee without the fear of being trampled on by a flock of tweens trying to hunt you down. I appreciate that you have encouraged tourism (and by tourism I mean your stalkers following you) which in turn will help the economy in Savannah. However, my friends and I are over due for a beach day.

Impatiently, Mitzy

Never Ending Summer

This weekend I will once again be driving my happy butt up to Atlanta for some lake action and another concert. And I suppose I will be visiting family too.

Guess who I am going to see this weekend.

I will give you just a minute....

Yes, that's right. Tool!

Dear So and So....

I am going to give this a shot...

Dear So and So...

Dear Orange Cat Named Henry,

I have a great appreciation for your ability to play fetch, and your desire to do it all. the. time. However, when I am laying in bed at 2 a.m., I really don't feel like throwing the catnip mouse down the hall for you. No matter how loud you meow at me or how many times you drop the mouse by my face, it's not happening.

Awake & Grumpy,
Mitzy

Dear Pullo (my spoiled rotten human like dog),

I wish you a very happy birthday. You are now 3 years old! It's amazing how it feels like it was just yesterday that I picked you up and took you home for the first time. You were the greatest and fluffiest puppy ever. So in celebration, I picked up a 6 pack just for you.

Love you,
Your Mom

Dear Starbucks at the Savannah Mall,

Please hire more people. I don't think it is acceptable for me to have to wait an eternity for a shaken tea lemonade thing. Seriously, I think I almost died from dehydration just waiting on my icy cold beverage.

Thirsty,
Mitzy

****************
Dear Mosquitoes,

One day I am going to find a way to rid the world of you all. I have had it. I am not the only human around that tastes good. I don't appreciate being picked out of a group of people and being attacked. I know you may find this hard to believe, but big red welts aren't attractive. Leave me and my blood alone.

Itching like crazy,
Mitzy
****************
Dear Kat,
Thanks for getting me hooked on your blog, and I have finally accomplished my own Dear So and So!
You Rock,
Mitzy
