Bitches love me!

I was browsing Etsy, and I came across some really awesome handmade dog tags. And there was one in particular that just made me laugh.

I think I might just have to get this one for Pullo. You can find it here.

Just thought I would share that with all you dog lovers.

A Texas Wedding

Ok, I am a bit slow in posting this, but this is from the weekend of May 14th through the 17th.
Ronnie and I flew out of Atlanta to Dallas, TX, and made the 2 hour drive to Longview, TX. The reason for our trip? My niece (Ronnie's sister's oldest daughter) was getting married on Saturday 05/16. The last time we went to Longview was for Thanksgiving. Also, the younger niece gave birth the day before Thanksgiving to a beautiful baby boy.

So, there isn't much to do in Longview. It isn't geographically interesting, it looks a lot like Georgia. I prefer the Hill Country part of Texas or even West Texas. But going to see family makes the trip well worth it. While some people don't care much for their in-laws, I love them. I felt like I was part of the family straight away.
But, here are some highlights from our trip and the wedding:
(Some of the photos were taken by me, other were taken by various people at the event.)

I am usually the one behind the camera, so I don't have a lot of photos of myself, but I think this is a good one.

Randomness

I was tagged by Jess and Larkin to do this...

What are your current obsessions?
Let's see...
My puppy dog Pullo,
Chowder (I love this show),
311
and sour patch kids.

What’s for dinner?
I am planning on having some Papa Johns tonight. Pepperoni and mushroom please!

What is your greatest fear at the moment?
Ummm... DEATH. (Hence the thanatophobia.) I think that is always my greatest fear, followed by Ronnie joining the Army.

What are you listening to?
311!

What are your favorite holiday spots?
My parent's house for most holidays. For the summer holidays, it would either be the beach or the lake.

What are you reading right now?
The Ultimate Book of Useless Information (Did you know that squirrels can not carry or get rabies?)

What is your guilty pleasure?
Double Doozie cookies at the Great American Cookie Co. *drooling*

Who or what makes you laugh?
My boss, he is a damn riot. And Jess, Larkin, and Magan are pretty good at making me laugh with the random shit they say.

What is your favorite Spring thing to do?
Start going to the beach, (I agree Jess!) or the lake. I am ready for some water skiing!

Where are you planning to travel next?
If you asked a week ago, it would've been Texas. But seeing as how I just returned from there yesterday, I will say either Montrose, Colorado or Miami, Florida.

What is the best thing you ate or drank lately?
Fresh home made flour tortillas at a mexican restaurant in Texas.

When was the last time you were tipsy?
Saturday night, after my niece's wedding in Texas. (At a western bar/club. I even line danced!)

What is your favorite ever film?
It is hard to pin down just one film... but one of my top favorites is Monty Python's The Holy Grail. (The Princess Bride rocks too. Inconceivable!)

What is the biggest life lesson you’ve learned from your kids?
I don’t have any kids and I count that as a lesson in and of itself. (I agree Jess.) I will also add that I think I have learned to not take myself or life too seriously, and to enjoy the small things in life, like chewing on sticks or sliding around on hardwood floors.

What book do you know you should read but refuse to?
I don't think that there is a book out there that I SHOULD read but REFUSE to.

What is your physical abnormity/abnormal physical ability?
I think that would probably be the scar that is on my knee. I cut it on an air vent when I was in 3rd grade. Then some punk ass girl tripped me in class and made me fall which in turn made my stitches rip apart. Wasn't a pretty sight.

What is your favorite color?
Green

Can the people outside your car hear the music playing inside your car?
Oh hell yeah they can. I totally rock out to some Tool or 311 in my car. But when I get to a red light, I usually turn it down to be nice.

In a perfect world, how many hours sleep would you get per night?
10-14 hours. I, like Jess and Larkin, LOVE to sleep. It's the best thing ever. Especially when you have the rotten animals all curled up around you.

And since I can't tag Larkin or Jess... I guess I will tag... Ivy!

As The Tide Turns

As many of you may or may not know, I am not by any means a morning person. So this last saturday i decided to sleep in.... until 12:00 in the afternoon. It was magnificent! All curled up under the covers with all the rotten animals curled up around me with cartoon network on in the background. (No I don't have any kids, I like cartoon network, even if I am 24.)

So I finally decide to slowly drag myself out of bed and into the shower. Meanwhile, the husband has already been up since 9:00 a.m. working on the boat in the lovely humid heat that is Savannah. When I get out of the shower, I have a missed call and a text from Jess. She was wanting us to come join her, Krystal, Bobby, and their friend Stephanie out at Tybee. Me being the procrastinator I am, I decide to take me time getting ready, getting something to eat, etc. So finally around 3:00 we leave the house to make the 45 minute trek out to Tybee Island. Parking was a nightmare because apparently everyone likes to go to the beach when it is warm and sunny outside. (Who would of thought?) After finally finding the only remaining parking spot on the south end of the island, and making the hundred mile walk to the pier where Jess was set up, we make it.

Little did I know, Jess had acquired front row seats to the best drama on the island! I'm telling you, what was going on during Saturday's episode could've easlily rendered several daytime emmys. We have dubbed the show "As the Tide Turns", starring 6-8 army guys and their classy ladies. To set the stage, these folks were at the beach before Jess and her posse arrived around 1:00. Along with coolers of beer and a radio, they also brought and octabong.
Luckily, I came prepared and brought along my camera. Jess was the videographer. (So you can blame her for all the shaking.)
For your viewing pleasure, here are a couple videos clips:

They finally noticed us and the camera after a couple hours of filming... but didn't seem to care.

Here are some photos from the afternoon. (I know they aren't nearly as entertaining as the video clips.)

Doggie Carnival '09!

I kicked off my weekend with a hair date with Larkin. We went to our favorite hair stylist ever, Kim, and had a glass of wine while Kim went to town on our hair. Then we proceeded downtown to The Wing for some wings, a buffarella and some delicious Yuengling, followed by some refreshing gelato. While I don't have any photos of my new look, I did capture one of Larkin before the end of our date.

Sunday was the Doggie Carnival in beautiful Forsyth Park. Pullo, Ronnie and I started our day meeting up with Kim (the best hair stylist ever) and her little man, Teddy, and strolling through all the festivities. We checked out all the cool vendors, and we even acquired 2 free frisbees! (Pullo's favorite.) After making our rounds, we met up with Larkin and Paul and their 3 dogs, Kane, Duke, and the lovely lady Roxy. Jess and Krystal were with them as the official beer transporter and dog walker. (They even brought the super kick ass wagon.) We finished off the day relaxing with some content pups under the beautiful hundred year old live oaks.

Here are some highlights:

They had a doggie derby...

Gutterball

Yes... I know. I am a total slacker. I keep trying to set aside a few minutes to do up a new post, but something always has to pop up and interrupt me. If it isn't my dog Pullo ramming his nose into my arm wanting attention, or one of the cats walking up and laying down on the keyboard, then it's Ronnie walking in covered in bouyancy foam and cursing because he poured too much foam in the boat and didn't cut enough holes in the wood for the foam to expand.

So, in the last week not much has happened. Ronnie has started his bowling league that meets evert Thursday night with 3 of his co-workers. I have managed to break my high score hula hooping on the Wii. (I finally got 4 stars bitches!) Oh, and Ronnie has the awesome job of going on a test flight with Gulfstream to England. (fucker.) He is due to leave on Wednesday sometime, and fly into Lutton, England. No one is quite sure how long they will be there for, but he should be back Thursday or Friday. As long as no one breaks the plane that is. But Ronnie is quite excited as most of us would be. He told me yesterday it isn't so much going to England that he is looking forward to, it's writing on his facebook page "I'm cruisin' in my G450 to England!" Not that he likes to gloat or anything.

Anywho, I will be left to tend to the animals and go to work. Oh, and I get to make a complete fool of myself while I fill in for him on his bowling league. Yeah, it's been well over a year since the last time I went bowling, and... uh... well... I didn't do so well. So I guess I will just drink down a couple beers and have at it. At least the guys will have something to talk about when they go to work the next day.

As for this weekend, I finally had a weekend where I had no plans whatsoever. So I decided to be lazy. I slept til noon, cleaned the house some, played on the Wii, and went to bed. Ooooh! But I did get some new sheets, and they are so super soft. I love them. I guess that makes for a perfect weekend, right? New Sheets + Sleeping Late + Cuddling With Rotten Animals = Happy Mitzy!

Pullo doesn't need new soft comfy sheets to be comfortable though. No. He just needs me!

Did I mention that he is rotten?

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Greetings from Slo-vannah.

To introduce myself, I am Michelle aka Mitzy (that is if you knew me before 2nd grade when I decided I wanted to be grown up and known by my real name). I am a Georgia native, born and raised in Cherokee County. I moved down here to Savannah almost 3 years ago. I am married to a rather emotionally flat man with one wonderfully rotten dog and 2 emotionally unstable cats. I come from a very colorful past and have a family that will confuse the hell out of anyone trying to understand.

I was in fact pressured to create a blog by my wonderful whoremonger buddies, Larkin and Jess. I love them. And for any of you who aren't familiar with the Hungarian language, erős means strong. And yes, I am Hungarian. To be precise, I am half Hungarian (by my biological father whom I won't refer to as my dad), a quarter Italian (maternal grandfather), 1/8th Polish and 1/8th Iroquois Indian. I know you probably didn't care enough to read all about that, but guess what? You did. But back to the name of the blog, erős is very accurate for what I am.

I have am a bit OCD and a full blown Thanatophobic. I love my Tequila and Yuengling, I have some kick ass friends, and I enjoy my job. I love photography and I try aspire to be a photographer one day.

I hope that is enough for my first post. Ciao!
